Lego is a popular pastime. Learn how to use it to develop children’s social skills in an engaging yet structured way. It can be used to support turn taking, eye contact, giving and following instructions and many more skills

Introduction to Signalong Virtual Workshops
Participants will gain an understanding of why signing is beneficial, who benefits, how to create a signing environment and learn about the Signalong system and some relevant vocabulary.

Elklan Speech and Language Support for 5-11 yr olds
Learn how children typically develop their attention and listening, understanding, spoken language and social skills. Learners will gain practical evidence based strategies to support each area. A level 2 or 3 accreditation is available on the completion of a learning log.
This is a 3 part accredited course.

I CAN Talk Boost KS1
What is Talk Boost?
Talk Boost KS1 is a targeted intervention for 4-7 year old children with language that is delayed. The programme is delivered in primary schools by classroom teachers and teaching assistants and provides a structured programme that boosts children’s progress in language and communication by an average of 9 – 18 months after a ten week intervention.
Learning goals: Participants will develop the skills and knowledge to understand the rationale behind Talk Boost KS1, identify appropriate children, measure their progress and deliver the intervention successfully.
Who: Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 teachers and teaching assistants (schools typically send at least 1 class teacher and the 1 TA who supports that class)
