These workshops provide an introduction to the issues surrounding SLC development, e.g. prevalence, impact and how to support the development of these important skills. Information about Speech and Language Therapy services in the locality and when and how to make a referral is also included.



 

Supporting SLC in the Early Years

 

A universal introduction to the issues surrounding SLC development in babies and young children, e.g. prevalence, impact and how to support children’s development. Information about Speech and Language Therapy services in the locality and when and how to make a referral.

Everyone is welcome. This is particularly useful for the Early Years workforce, including Nursery staff, Childminders, Health Visitors, Midwives, Children’s Centre staff, Better Start workers and volunteers etc.

Refreshments are available to purchase at the centre’s café

Cost: FREE to Blackpool Early Years Workforce (people working or volunteering in children’s centres, nurseries, childminders or partners working in Health or Local Authority)
