Elklan Speech and Language Support courses
Communicate Specialist Speech and Language Therapists are able to deliver a wide range of Elklan courses which are nationally accredited, evidence informed and enable practitioners to support speech, language and communication development.
The courses give practical advice and strategies to support all children’s communication development and especially those with communication needs.
Who should attend?
Workforce supporting school aged children (Teachers, Teaching Assistants, SENCOs)
Level 2 and 3 courses:
These courses are 20 hours and delivered over 3 separate days, allowing learners time to prepare and submit a portfolio.
Level 4 courses (learners are required to have gained a level 3 on the appropriate course first)
This course contains 4 seminars to support staff to deliver the Communication Counts course to all the school staff. There is a final audit visit, after submission of the setting evidence and portfolio. The Communication Friendly Status can be renewed after 3 years
