ICAN KS1 Talk Boost

What is Talk Boost?

Talk Boost KS1 is a targeted intervention for 4-7 year old children with language that is delayed.  The programme is delivered in primary schools by classroom Teachers and Teaching Assistants and provides a structured programme that boosts children’s progress in language and communication by an average of 9–18 months after a ten week intervention.

Learning Goals:

Participants will develop the skills and knowledge to understand the rationale behind Talk Boost KS1, identify appropriate children, measure their progress and deliver the intervention successfully.

Who is it for?:

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Teachers and Teaching Assistants (schools typically send at least 1 class Teacher and the 1 TA who supports that class).

N.B. Schools who send staff on the training need to purchase the I CAN Talk Boost resources from I CAN https://ican.org.uk/training-licensing/i-can-programmes/talk-boost-ks1/

Workshops are delivered by I CAN Licensed Trainers

This is an online Zoom event.  Details will be emailed to you prior to the training.
