1Who is this training for?
The training is suitable for Early Years Practitioners, Health Visitors, SENCOs, T.A.s & SLTs.
2How much will this training cost?
Places on this session are available at the following rates: Free of Charge: Blackpool Health Visitors, Blackpool Community Health Practitioners, Blackpool Early Years Practitioners Subsidised at a rate of £15.00 per ticket inc. VAT: Other professionals working with children and young people in Blackpool Chargeable at a rate of £50.00 per ticket inc. 3How is this training delivered?
This online training package consists of 1 x 2 hour session delivered via Zoom. You will receive a welcome email from your trainer with joining instructions closer to the date of the training.
4What are the learning outcomes?
This course is an introduction to the Screening Toolkit and prepares participants to be able to select individualised activities from the Big Book of Ideas. As the Toolkit can be completed in around 20 minutes, this will allow participants to identify and address speech, language and communication needs early.
5What qualifications do your trainers have?
All trainers are experienced professionals.
6What resources will I need/be provided with?
You must already have resources in setting to participate in this training.  The WellComm Early Years complete set can be purchased for £470 from GL Assessment. You can purchase the Resource Pack directly from GL Assessment at: https://www.gl-assessment.co.uk/products/wellcomm/ You will also need access to: A computer, iPad or a tablet with a webcam and microphone. Ideally there will be a maximum of 2 participants to 1 device. High speed internet. Email access.
7What are your payment terms?
Please note that all training will be invoiced for as soon as we know there are sufficient participants to run the course. Payment is due within 14 days of receipt of the invoice. All training sessions are non-refundable but are transferable to a new date if we are notified within the time period detailed below.
8What is your cancellation and refund policy?
7 days' notice must be given in writing to events@communicate-slt.org.uk if the booker wishes to change the date of your training session/request reallocation of the cost to an alternative date. Any sessions cancelled by the booker later than 7 days before the first session is due to be carried out, will not be eligible for transfer or refund. Communicate SLT reserve the right to cancel any training session and in such an event will reimburse in full any course fees paid.
