Blackpool Early Years Communication Champion Cluster Meeting – Central Blackpool

Communicate SLT CIC are pleased to advise we are hosting a set of cluster meetings across Blackpool in May 2024 for all staff working in the Early Years sector. This would include Health Visitors, Nursery Practitioners, Childminders, Family Hub Staff, members of the SLC Home Visiting Team, Library Staff and Community Connectors for example.

Each meeting will be delivered by members of the Communicate SLT Clinical Team who are joined by Claire Woodsford, Better Start Early Years Advisory Teacher for Literacy and Communication.

What will I have the opportunity to learn from attending this cluster meeting? 

  • At this session, you will learn and discuss how to support children and families for whom English may not be their first language.
  • There will be a presentation of information and strategies, along with the opportunity to discuss and reflect upon current individual practice.

This 2 hour in person meeting will be held in Blackpool Central at Westminster Primary Academy. Refreshments will be served courtesy of Blackpool Council and you will be asked for your dietary preferences while you register your interest.
